Nipsey Hussle will get a ritzy salute at the 62nd yearly Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy has authoritatively reported a top pick tribute to the late rapper during the broadcast one weekend from now.
Meek Mill, YG, Roddy Ricch, DJ Khaled, John Legend, and Kirk Franklin will all make that big appearance to pay after death respect to the three-time Grammy chosen one.
“An activist, entrepreneur and rapper, Nipsey Hussle had a lasting impact on not just his community, but also the culture at large,” said Grammy executive producer Ken Ehrlich. “There is no denying the influence he had and his legacy will be felt for generations to come. We are honored to bring together this amazing group of artists to celebrate Nipsey’s life and pay tribute to his many contributions to music. It’s sure to be a memorable performance.”

Nipsey, who was designated for Best Rap Album for Victory Lap a year ago, is named for three honors at the current year’s service including Best Rap Performance (“Racks in the Middle”), Best Rap/Sung Collaboration (“Higher”), and Best Rap Song (“Racks in the Middle”).
The Grammy tribute comes not exactly an a seemingly endless amount of time after the 33-year-old rapper was shot and killed outside his Marathon Clothing store on March 31.
Facilitated by Alicia Keys, the Grammy Awards will be communicated live Sunday, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
