Don’t Underrate The Work Of Publicists!!!

It’s high time most musicians are educated out how publicity and the blogging space works. First of all, musicians should know it’s not by force for any blogger to keep a clean sheet of non – controversial online reputation for you. That’s the main reason you need a publicist. In fact, if you don’t employ a publicist to generate a reputable online personality for you, don’t blame bloggers for projecting negative news about you. Did you pay the blogger to write anything relating to negativity?Back to the main topic, don’t underrate the work of publicists. Every publicist is passionate about his / her profession as a communicator. And being a publicist means you need a back up of sand of ideas and strategies to project his / her clients in a meaningful light on both the traditional media and social media. Even before that, the publicist needs to get into the mind of the client to know exactly what he / she wants.

This is where the publicist become a middle man between the client and the media space. Pitching stories to the press for publication, book interviews, etc. So if you’re a celebrity and you think because you’re a celebrity positive publicity comes naturally, am sorry you need to go back to the drawing board. Nigerian artists are different, no wonder they’re always ahead of us. See how Morgan Heritage treats Elorm Beenie how Patoranking treats Dada Obee how Davido treats Pep Junia and how Shatta wale(shatta movement) treats Flex K Germain. Unarguably these musicians are very successful because they pay to get things DONE.But here in Ghana, plenty yobbing.

The problem with most Ghanaian musicians is, they are too close-fisted, they don’t like paying for quality services yet they expect to rock shoulders with the best. Majority only know how to run their mouth like waterfalls. Only few truly understand how the industry works. Big up Charles Nii Armah Mensah. As a publicist, creative writer and a copywriter you should know i know exactly what I’m talking about. So if you think publicists are follow back, you’re a JOKER of this century and the next 1000 centuries to come.Till i write again, i hang my PEN.#JCT
