Billboard And Afro Nation is Set To Launch US Afrobeats Songs Chart
On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, it was announced that Billboard, in collaboration with the music festival giants Afro Nation would be kicking off the first-ever US Afrobeats Songs chart.
The Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Song chart is set to go live on the billboard website on March 29, 2022, and the chart would rank the top 50 popular afrobeats songs in the United States.
LYRICS: ‘Cross My Lane’ By Broda Shaggi ft. Falz
This is a big leap for Afrobeats as a whole. It is fast becoming a global sound, and the artists are also becoming a force to be reckoned with as major international collaborations have been recorded so far.
The ranking on the charts would be determined by the download sales from music retailers and official streams on paid and ad-supported audio and video streaming platforms.
The newest addition to the @billboardcharts is U.S. Afrobeats Songs, in partnership with @afronation. 🎉 https://t.co/2KUxdL6xHZ
